In the underground fight scene KOTS is THE organization to fight for. With its rep for brutal fights while also hosting real skillful fighters like Brian Hooi and French Viking it has already cemented itself as the most dangerous fight club in the world. Today I got to interview the man who embodies KOTS, “The American Bloodaxe” Eric Olsen.

Shadowtalkers: Why are you into hardcore/punk/metal?

Bloodaxe: I like the way it sounds.. it resonates with me.

S: What are your Mt Rushmore Hardcore records?

B: Neglect/Ten Times Worse/Bad Luck 13/Blood For Blood

S: What’s your favorite punk, metal, or hardcore show you’ve been to?

B: Ten Times Worse for hardcore. Dimmu Borger for metal.

S: What was your first encounter with martial arts?

B: Wrestling. Age 5

S: How did you break into the bare knuckle boxing scene?

B: I FB messaged Freeman Dove of ubbad/bkb in 2015. I was first American fighting bk in UK. Since John Sullivan in 1890s.

S: How does fighting for Bellator differ from other promotions?

B: Bellator I had 1 fight in. But they was Kool. Nothing stands out

S: What was your worst injury in fighting?

B: Totally severing my infraspinatus tendon from my rotator cuff in my left shoulder that needed rehabilitation and full-on reconstructive surgery.

S: How did you first become aware of KOTS?

B: IG and YouTube.

S: What was the appeal of joining KOTS vs standard MMA orgs?

B: it’s the most brutal and extreme. I’m a demon. If you show me something extreme and crazy it summons me

S: What does training for KOTS look like vs a standard MMA or bare knuckle org?

B: All training is the same. Heavy wrestling/grappling/heavy power lifting/sprints/weighed shadow boxing/pad work

S: How much does real fighting skill matter in KOTS compared to aggression or toughness?

B: Skill is everything. You can be as tough and aggressive as you want. But if u don't have the skill it's like running in to a blender.

S: Hardcore and punk have long histories of pushing Nazis out of the scene (especially in your native city of NY). Did that background influence how you handled Tomasz?

B: No my background from NY didn't have anything to do with Tommy n I

S: Will we see a 3rd fight between you and Tomasz?

B: I wish. But KOTS isn't interested

S: We’ve touched upon your issues with Tomasz. However there’s a second beef fight out there between you and Orsu Corsu, if you don’t mind me asking what’s behind that beef?

B: Orso was saying he'd kill me that I was a race traitor because I'm not a white supremacist. So I told him prove it. He tried, and failed.

S: Who’s your favorite person to talk to behind the scenes in KOTS?

B: KOTS owner and I are very tight. He's my actual friend.

S: How much longer do you see yourself fighting with KOTS or MMA as a whole?

B: 3 more years.

S: What advice would you give to an average person looking to make a change for the better in their community?

B: Start a chess club

S: Anything else you want to add?

B: I'm not an influencer. I'm not a self help talker. I'm here for all beef fights and problems with anyone who has any kinda problem with me over anything. Do something about it.
